Maintaining carpets can often be a challenging job.  To do it right often means using a good commercial vacuum with strong CFM and agitation to pull up all debris that finds its way to the carpet. To perform this task a carpet extractor can come with a variety of options and features. The first, and one of the most basic, is whether it’s a hot water extractor or cold water extractor. With these options you may be able to add hot water to the extractor, which can help provide a stronger and deeper clean of the carpet,  or one with cold water.

Another heralded feature on carpet extractors is PSI, which is a measure of power and force seen used on the carpet. Specifically it measures how strongly the carpet extractor will extract the water that used to clean. They can range from 100 to over 500 P.S.I. in a particular machine.  For those with basic carpet extractor needs a cold water extractor with low P.S.I. may be perfectly adequate.
